October 18–28, 2027 • Scotland & Ireland | 9 Hotel Nights | Small-Group Journey • Adults Only
Edinburgh • Dublin • Kilkenny • Galway
There's something about Scotland and Ireland in autumn...
...the historic streets, the changing colors, the stories tucked into centuries-old buildings, and the unmistakable warmth of a good Irish pub.
We'll begin with four nights in Edinburgh, continue to Dublin for two, and finish with three nights in Galway, where the season's ancient Samhain traditions bring an extra bit of magic to our final days.
Along the way, we'll discover castles, literary treasures, local traditions, and plenty of places worth lingering over.
This is Scotland and Ireland with time to enjoy being there.
A remarkable journey isn't measured by the number of destinations visited, but by the experiences that stay with us long after we've returned home.
This inaugural Portkey Signature Journey has been thoughtfully designed around that philosophy. Three distinctive cities, carefully selected experiences, and the freedom to discover Scotland and Ireland beyond the scheduled itinerary.
With longer stays, fewer transitions, and a small group of fellow travelers, there's room for both shared discoveries and independent exploration.
From the history and traditions that connect us to these remarkable places to the unexpected moments we find along the way, every part of this journey is an invitation to experience more deeply.
10 nights. Two countries. Plenty of stories waiting to happen.
Old streets, hidden closes and stories around every corner.
This is where our journey begins, among winding cobblestone streets, centuries-old buildings and the hidden closes tucked just out of sight along the Royal Mile.
We'll explore Edinburgh Castle together, then the city is ours.
Follow Victoria Street downhill, duck into a bookshop, find a cozy pub, stop for tea or simply keep walking to see what's around the next corner.
Edinburgh is the kind of place that rewards curiosity, and we're giving ourselves time for plenty of it.
Two days. Endless possibilities. Entirely yours.
With two full days to explore beyond our scheduled experiences, Edinburgh becomes your starting point for whatever captures your imagination.
Beyond Edinburgh's historic streets and hidden corners, Scotland offers countless directions to explore. A thoughtfully curated selection of optional experiences opens the door to castles, countryside, coastal villages, and local traditions, leaving you free to follow whichever path inspires you.
Perhaps it's a whisky tasting, an unexpected discovery, or simply an afternoon spent somewhere you never expected to find.
Your Scotland. Your pace. Your story.
Good food, lively music, and a little Scottish mischief.
In the heart of Edinburgh, the historic Ghillie Dhu offers an evening steeped in Scottish character, with its magnificent vaulted auditorium setting the stage for something truly memorable.
We're looking forward to an evening of traditional Scottish music, dinner, and ceilidh dancing at this remarkable venue. Think lively tunes, plenty of laughter, and the chance to experience a beloved Scottish tradition firsthand.
No dancing experience required. Just an appetite for something memorable and a willingness to join the fun.
Some of the best travel memories begin when the music starts.
Literary legends, lively pubs and magic hiding in plain sight.
Dublin greets us with a little more noise, a little more laughter and plenty of personality.
We'll step inside Trinity College to see the Book of Kells and the magnificent Long Room, where shelves of ancient books seem to stretch forever.
Beyond Trinity, Dublin is ours to enjoy. Find a cozy pub where the music pulls you through the door, browse a bookshop, stroll through St. Stephen's Green or follow the laughter coming from somewhere just around the corner.
And for those who know where to look, there may just be a little magic hiding in plain sight.
A medieval detour on the road west.
On our way west, we'll pause in Kilkenny, a colorful medieval city where a castle rises above the River Nore and narrow streets invite a closer look.
We'll explore Kilkenny Castle, then have a few hours to enjoy the Medieval Mile at our own pace.
Find a cozy spot for lunch, browse the little shops, stop for coffee or simply take in the city before we continue toward Galway.
Sometimes the best detours are the ones worth making on purpose.
Music, mischief and a spirited Irish send-off.
Galway welcomes us with colorful streets, music spilling from pub doorways and the kind of energy that makes you want to stay out just a little longer.
We'll have time for the Latin Quarter, Shop Street, cozy cafés, traditional music and the salty air along Salthill Promenade.
And we've saved something special for the end. Our stay is timed around Gaillimh Ah-Boo!, when Galway leans into Halloween with a distinctly Irish spirit, bringing a little mischief, celebration and spectacle to the streets.
After eleven days together, there may be no better place to raise a glass, join the celebration and toast to the stories we're taking home.
